Tutorial

If you would like your First Time Login Activation ID code, please email your contact information, class and degree plus major to alumniwebhelp@chapman.edu. The Alumni Office will reply as quickly as possible.

The Chapman Alumni Online Community includes several innovative social networking features. Below are a few highlights and some links to online tutorials to get you going. Make your page more interesting. Customize your profile pages; control the layout, colors, and content of your page to reflect your personality; bring in content from around the web like news feeds, YouTube® videos, Flickr® photos and even your Facebook® badge. Build a page for your friends – you control it all. The RSS feed keeps you up-to-date with events and news.

YOUR PROFILE AND DIRECTORY

Your name, class year(s) and degree(s) are viewable by Authenticated Users who have successfully completed a first time login process and are identified as a bona fide alumna/us or have a designated role* to fulfill.

Choose if you want Authenticated Users to see more than just your name, class year(s), degree(s) and major(s) information about you.

MY PROFILE - You are encouraged to keep your records up-to-date so Chapman University is assured the alumni campus database contains your latest contact information. Changes that alter your "official" university records are screened by university staff before information is transferred from the website into your own "official" record.

MY PHOTOS - Add a photo in the My Photos area, so others will know you have "checked in" and are ready to be involved. One photo from all your uploads will be your distinct image on Class Notes, My Groups and My Profile, so it is important to make your "cameo" photo a priority when you first log on. Photos require approval, so time may elapse before they are visible on the site. Some photos are so large the system will not accept the upload and you will need to first adjust the file size.

BLOGS AND BOOKMARKING - Often thought about setting up your own blog? Now you can in the online community. Write posts, automatically notify friends and subscribe to a blog news feed. We've also added tagging and single-click, popular bookmarking tools, to help you build traffic from your Facebook page or sites like del.icio.us and digg.
